FREE CLASS – How to answer, “What Do You Do?”

When I give talks (which you can learn more about HERE), this is the photo I use when talking about the question that can strike fear into the hearts of the bravest person:

16. Scary santa

You know how it is – you’re at a party, awkwardly asking a stranger how they know the host, when all of a sudden, they look up at you and say Those Words:

“So…… What do you do?”

The thing is, having a good answer to this question can be a game-changer.

It’s a question that people will always ask. So you need an answer for it.

And if your answer is good, it could make you money.

Because you never know:

The person who’s asking, “What do you do?” could be your dream client or employer – or the friend, husband or daughter of your dream client.

But if you don’t have a good answer for them – they’ll never discover this. So they’ll never ask you to tell them more. And they’ll never hire you/help you out/buy what you have to offer.

If the idea that you have to have a good answer to that question makes you feel panicky – I HAVE GOOD NEWS!

I’m doing a free class on how to answer the question “What do you do?”

– in a way that:

  • is engaging
  • will make people want to give you money, and
  • takes less than thirty seconds

There are some tips and tricks that I’d love to pass on, that are a little too complicated to fit into one blog or video. So, instead: a 30 minute class.

It’s audio only, and there is a recording you can listen to afterwards.

THE DETAILS:

SAD NEWS! The class is now over. But if getting help on answering the question “What do you do?” is something YOU need, I’m your lady. Get in touch, I’d love to chat about it: hello@yesyesmarsha.com

Ha! This is so great – and so much more fun than just saying “I’m a dentist”. I usually dread that question but now I’m looking forward to the next time someone asks, “What do you do?”. Thanks!

Yes a question that people you meet will always ask. Thanks Marsha, it was quite interesting when you said “And if your answer is good, it could make you money.” I never thought about this.

Next time I will be prepared for this question. Thanks again for such a great piece of information.
