On Sunday (11th) at 10.30am I ran the London marathon course. On my own. And partly with some of you.

I was supposed to be running the New York Marathon on Sunday 4th. It got cancelled (for the first time since 1970) because of Hurricane Sandy – that’s fine, it was the right thing for them to do. But having trained for five months and wanting to justify the sponsorship money (here: www.virginmoneygiving.com/marshamusic) that people have donated, I decided to do the route of the London marathon on my own.

Thank you SO much to everyone who came out to cheer me on, ran alongside me, cheered me on on twitter and donated.

The story was on the front page of the BBC website all day and I also went on my favourite breakfast radio show, Metro Morning the next day (you can listen here).
