(1) Suggested actions to take this week

Once again, two levels!

(A) Describe emotions using the “Show, Don’t Tell” principle.
Before the end of the week: when talking about a conversation that you’ve had with someone (or an observation about that person), describe anything they did that led to you inferring the emotion they were experiencing — without explicitly naming that emotion. 

(B) Observe emotions expressed physically.
Between now and Friday: whenever you see or interact with someone and you sense they’re feeling a strong emotion, start to pay attention to exactly what they’re doing that makes you sense that. Ask yourself, what is the difference in their tone of voice, body language or facial expression?
