I bloody love talking about this stuff. The whole reason I got into networking coaching was because I was doing it for free my whole life:
It’s what I would corner people at parties for – “Oh, you’re trying to get a job? Here’s what you should be doing” “You’re in a band? Here’s how you can get noticed”
Because my landlord doesn’t accept Good Karma in lieu of rent (so unreasonable), at some point, I had to stop doing all my coaching for free.
But sometimes, I still sneak some free in.
A perfect example? When I’m interviewed.
I recently spent a really fun hour taking to Jordan Harbinger for The Art of Charm podcast. Their tagline is “Where Ordinary Guys Become Extra-Ordinary Men”, but I’m pretty sure the masses of advice I gave was all unisex.

SO glad that you found it helpful – and hope your sister does too. I work with a lot of creatives – as I say in this video (yesyesmarsha.com/responsibility), I think that, if you’re *actually talented as a creative, it’s your responsibility to network, otherwise the people who do will get the job regardless of talent, and I have to watch bad acting!

I have listened to quite a few podcasts from Art of Charm and other similar podcasts, and I found your interview to be one of the most useful I’ve heard. You’re ability to communicate your message, make it actionable, and also just make it make sense is phenomenal. Your super-secret-mind-control-email-reply line is brilliant and the “how has your week been?” and “what was the best bit?” is so simple, non-intrusive, and yet, perfect for opening up a real conversation with someone. Love it. Anyway, I can’t wait to start putting it all into practice. Thanks again!
